Hot diggity dog, it is time to share another Lightlife recipe in time for Super Bowl Sunday!
These Smart Dog Tater Tot Skewers are a finger food favorite, and feature Lightlife’s Smart Dogs. Pair them up with ketchup and mustard, and dive in during your upcoming Super Bowl Party.
- 1 Pack Lightlife Smart Dogs
- 1 pound bag of frozen tater tots (thawed)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper or seasoning of your choice
- Ketchup and mustard for dipping
Preheat your grill to a high heat.
Slice each Smart Dog into three diagonal pieces.
Take a long metal skewer and thread one piece of Smart Dog to the base of the skewer.
Next add a tater tot being careful not to tear it. Repeat this process until the skewer is completely filled.
Once all of the skewers are ready to grill, brush them on one side with the olive oil.
Season each one and place onto your hot grill.
Grill for about 1-2 minutes and then turn them over and repeat. They will be done when you start to see the Smart Dogs blister.
