The Domestic Girl’s Sesame & Honey Glazed Veggies pack a lot of flavor and are an easy side dish to serve up. Feel free to use any variety of veggies than what is used in this recipe.
Ingredients:
- Two Small Yellow Squash
- 1 Red Pepper
- 1 Head of Broccoli
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1 TB Sesame Oil
- 1 TB Honey
- 2 TB Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1/4 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp. sesame seeds
Directions:
Begin by prepping your ingredients for the side dish by chopping up the garlic and vegetables. First you will add your sesame oil and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Then, add your vegetables and red pepper flakes and sauté for 7 minutes.
After the vegetables are close to fully cooked, add the soy sauce, honey and sesame seeds, and allow that to cook for another 3-5 minutes. The saltiness from the soy sauce and the sweetness from the honey creates a perfect flavor combination without having to use store-bought condiments.
Once the vegetables finished cooking, serve with a sprinkle of more sesame seeds and enjoy!
